A traditional family 

Living in the Salazie town ,the Hoaraus are  a traditional Reunion family . They grant a particular attention at the Reunion culture and their traditions . So to  know our family better , discovering the Reunion culture and traditions . 












                                       The Cooking                                       

We can start with the gastronomy of this island. We can qualify theirs cooking as being spicy, with many colors and tasty smells. We can also say is an international cooking because, like the reunion population, the dishes are intermixed. In all this dish we find: "Rougail saucisse ", "civet lapin", "massalé", "the jack boucané", "carry "...

                       The music and pratices                                    

The traditional music and dance of the Reunion island is the "Maloya". For play this we use many instruments like the "Rouler"; "Piker"; "Kayamb"; "Djambé"... We also practice the meringue. It's a fight dance. It is like the Capoeira. We produce also the art of braiding.

                                The miscegenation                                                       

  As has been a young island, The reunion population have the international nationality. We can find many communities who live in peace and harmony. So we can say the reunion culture is a culture of the share and Mix

                                The myth and legend                  

Like all communities , The Reunion Island have many history and legend who built our history . Among this history we can find the legend of the dodo . Some people thinks that dodos living in Reunion island a long time ago . But the others peoples don't think so . They think it not was Dodo but the solitary Ibis , a bird who look like dodo. That why a famous beer of reunion name "La Dodo" use like slogan :"  La dodo lé la ". To affirme that dodo was here in Reunion Island .
